111 is a number we call in German a „Schnapszahl“ (a multidigit number with all digits identical).

This numbers also work as date – like the 11.11. (11th November). In the Rhineland this date is a holiday – not a real holiday, but the people there love it like one; or even a bit more ;) .
At the 11.11. start the season of carnival.

Todays SundaySound is a carnival-song – becaus of the number 111. I like this song very much; it’s about pirates and freedom.
